LITTLE FIGHT
NYC

Right-sized websites, tools, and local muscle for New York's small businesses. The little guy who moves the big guy.

↓ THE BOOK

01 — The idea

A tugboat is small, stout, and unglamorous — and it pulls ships ten thousand times its size through the busiest harbor on earth.

That is the entire brand. Not a metaphor we reach for — the one we are. Little Fight is the tug for the corner store, the family practice, the two-person shop: we fix the tech dragging you down so you can pull weight far above your size, against companies with a hundred times your budget. The mark is the promise, drawn.

02 — The mark

The Tugboat

One color, always

Solid silhouette, true negative space. It reverses on any ground — orange, midnight, paper, skin. Never gradient it, outline it, or add a second color.

The smoke means work

The rising curl is the tug under load — it's doing something. Keep it. It's the difference between an icon and a character.

Give it water

The two waterline strokes are part of the mark at large sizes. Drop them only below 24px, where the boat rides alone.

Anatomy

Raised bow (the push), stout belly (the weight it carries), three portholes and a lit wheelhouse (someone's aboard at 1 a.m.), a bold stack, and a curl of smoke. Every part earns its place. Clear space equals the height of the stack; minimum size 20px.

03 — Lockup

Mark + word

LITTLE FIGHT NYC

Wordmark is Oswald 700, all caps, tight. The mark leads; "NYC" carries the orange. Stack it (mark over LITTLE FIGHT over NYC) only where width is tight.

04 — Color

Two colors and the dark

Discipline is the point. Orange is the only loud thing on the page — spend it like it's expensive. Everything else gets out of its way.

Fight Orange
#F97316
The signal. One per view.
Ember

Midnight

05 — Type

Loud, then plain

Two faces, no exceptions. Condensed caps that read like a fight poster; a plain, humane body that sounds like a person. Used with conviction, restraint reads as confidence.
